MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies (god, such an awful title to both say and type) is the latest game in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series (11th game overall), with Megadimension Neptunia VII (PS4) being the previous game. It is also the first game in the series to implement a Multiplayer / Online function.

It is a hack and slash type of game and is considered to be a sequel to Action Unleashed due to its similar gameplay and concept. While it doesn’t exactly follow the same storyline, it does contain the same characters and introduces those who weren’t in the first game as well.
This game was the result of Blanc becoming no.1 in the series’ 2nd popularity poll Compile Heart made sometime ago, as it was promised that the top character will be the main protagonist in their own game. Does it work out for our short, flat-chest companion here?
Nights of Azure is an Action RPG for the PS4 (although there is a PS3 and Vita version only in Japan) developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo Games. It was first released in Japan on October 1 2015, while the American and European versions were released on March 29, and April 1 2016 respectively.
The story follows Arnice, a half-human half demon hybrid who serves the Curia, an organization responsible for fulfilling the ritual that involves sacrificing a “Saint” to cure the endless nights that befell on Rusewall Island, the place in which this game takes place. The endless nights were caused by a certain monster who spilled out “Blue Blood” which polluted the humans and turns them into demons. With best friend Lilysse chosen to be the Saint, Arnice’s role is to protect her and making sure the ritual is carried out. While Arnice does fight demons and mythical monsters to progress to different areas, she also meets people that, one way or another, aid her in her journey. She also tackles her own problems and feelings towards her best friend, and debates about whether to save her, or save the world instead.
Atelier Escha & Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky is the enhanced port of the PS3 version. It is the 15th game overall in the Atelier series, and the 2nd in the “Dusk trilogy” following Atelier Ayesha. The game is developed by Gust, and localized by Koei Tecmo.
The game follows Escha Malier and Logix “Logy” Fiscario, 2 alchemists who work as government officials in the R&D division in a small town called Colset. Escha is a traditional alchemist, focusing on alchemy while Logy specializes more on assembling weaponry and armour, similar to a blacksmith. Their main form of work involves completing tasks that helps the government and the town in some way such as repairing a windmill or exploring unknown places. Along the way they will meet both new and recurring characters from the previous game, and discuss about the nearby floating ruins dubbed the “Unexplored Ruins”. No one knows what these ruins contain but it is a goal that Escha and her friends believe it will be worth doing.
Because the game features 2 protagonists, you can choose to play the story from either Escha’s point of view or Logy’s point of view. The core storyline remains the same but certain events and dialogue are unique from one another. It also determines who you control when exploring, and that they must always be used in battle as well.
Stella Glow is a SRPG / tactics RPG released for the 3DS. This was the last game developed by the now-bankrupt Imageepoch (with Sega publishing after the declare for bankruptcy) but was picked up by Atlus for localization and publication. It was released in Japan on June 4 2015, and localized for America on November 17 2015. It will be released in Europe sometime in Spring 2016.
Stella Glow can be considered as a successor to the Luminous Arc series (also made by Imageepoch) as it brings in recurring elements such as magic, witches, a big cast of colourful and quirky characters, enjoyable music, a similar style of gameplay and a long story. The game doesn’t use the same style of graphics and battle animations as the LA games anymore (as we are NOW IN THE FUTURE) but rather chibi-styled character models and transitions for battle animations.
Luminous Arc INFINITY | Cero C | FELISTELLA | Marvelous | PSVITA
Luminous Arc INFINITY, is the 4th game of Luminous Arc series, transcending into PSVITA the first time, as its previous games are available for Nintendo DS. This game is also developed by FELISTELLA, unliked the previous 3 titles, which were developed by Imagepooch. Like the rest of Luminous Arc games, it’s heavily influnced by the word magic, witches, and lapis. Luminous Arc INFINITY was released on 6th August 2015 in Japan. No words on western localization so far.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3 V Generation (PS Vita) is the remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory which was released on the PS3 in 2012. It was the last game in the PS3 trilogy and arguably the best one due to its more polished gameplay and presentation, good usage of both new and old characters and its fair amount of content to mess around with.
V Generation is the final game in the Re;Birth trilogy and the 5th HDN game OVERALL to be localised and released in the time frame of 1 year. (Re;Birth 1 came out in August 2014, Re;Birth 2 in January 2015, Noire in February, Action Unleashed in May, then this.)
The game was developed by Felistella while Compile Heart and Idea Factory both contributed to the production and publication of the game. Idea Factory International was responsible for the localization.

Re;Birth 3 comes with a lot of tweaks and changes to the overall game system while also experimenting with some different ideas as well. For me, it feels like it came to the point where it really feels more like a remake than an enhanced port this time around. Does this all work out though? Are these changes a good thing or should they had just stayed true to the original formula seen in the previous games?

Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven is a RPG for the 3DS. The game was developed and published by Marvelous, with XSEED games assisting in the publication. The release dates:
- Japan: October 2nd 2014
- NA / EU: June 2nd / 4th 2015, respectively.
The game consists of simulation elements found in games like Persona, Fire Emblem Awakening and Luminous Arc, in which chatting with the party members outside battle creates friendship levels. By doing this, they can learn new skills and the player can witness their events and mini-stories. The game also has a battle system similar to Valkyria Chronicles.
